New release: new authorization for Google Analytics, charts in 1 click

Today we rolled out new release which aim is to simplify creation of charts. Here is what we've done and what you can use right now:

More secure authorization for Google Analytics
Now Explainum uses OAuth for getting access to your Google Analytics stats. It means that now you don't have to enter your credentials for access to GA on Explainum -- instead, you will be forwarded to Google for authorization.

New charts/series in one click
Previously creation of charts on Explainum was somewhat cumbersome for new users and we saw many of them didn't manage to create a chart, unfortunately. We're very concerned about this, so we greatly simplified the process and introduced the capability of creating charts with pre-defined parameters (i.e. set of metrics and depth of historical data) in one click for these data sources:
  • Google Analytics
  • Yahoo Finance
  • MSN Money
  • Google Finance
Charts and series created in one click are exactly the same as usual, and can be further edited or modified.
